✅ Hard truth: Core work may not always be there; the trust factor may not be present.

Slide 5: “India Will Drive Innovation”
What it means: We haven’t defined ‘innovation,’ but it looks great on slide titles.
✅ Hard truth: Many times, it's hackathons that never turn into product features.

Slide 6: “We’ll Scale to 200 People in 12 Months”
What it means: We haven’t built a talent pipeline or local employer brand. But growth sounds impressive.
✅ Hard truth: Sometimes the focus is not on long-term strategy or learning, but on numbers and quantity.

Slide 8: “Hiring Top 1% Engineers”
What it means: We’ll post a JD with 10 must-have skills and wonder why no one’s applying.
✅ Hard truth: Most have every listed skill, follow standard patterns, and are masters of 50 tools, but lack focused depth.

What it means: It definitely is, and depending on who we hire first, it’ll either scale fast or stall early.
✅ Hard truth: We will provide another narrative when the time changes.

AI vs Humans vs Reality

Language models - Good Read

My Favorite lines

• Just because a machine can talk about anything doesn’t mean it understands what it is talking about.
• LLMs’ understanding of language, while impressive, is shallow.

What the systems miss

• Contexts 
• Deeper understanding
• Listening/feeling the notes

My Perspective

Machines can text emphathetic replies but cannot express / feel/support unless they are trained on how to be genuinely emphathetic. We are multilevelled and our emotions/responses are more complex than classification/prediction models.

AR Hype - Good Read

• Because people are still figuring out how it works and what interactions it supports, a lot of it is speculative

Except for Games, there is no potential need for the near future :)

Agility / Influence / Collaboration / Work Pressure

In Software development, Influence without authority is a critical team member/mentor/manager trait.

Agile is not about

• One sprint for functionality
• One sprint for performance
• One sprint for refactor

With the world going by weekly demos. Agile means

• Collaborating together and bringing the best ideas and building with prioritized ideas
• Evaluate, If it fails, back to basics and build
• Quick to recognize mistakes, humble enough to rework, listen and evaluate with the interest in time

Work pressure and deadlines are byproducts of poor design choices and poor execution vs great planning. Knowledge does not come with deadlines, It comes with learning and experimentation. 

When you learn

• It takes 3X efforts to try different codes, understands
• When you repeat it again it takes 2X effort as most unknowns are cleared
• When you master it takes X efforts as its proven/worked / familiar for you

Everything takes time, In a world driven by demos, and communication. the real effort is considering meaningful work by proactively including design, performance and picking best ideas without considering who / what / why.

Perspective of Interview

• During Interview - Puzzles, Physics, Permutations - Sometimes I felt I need to be a maths teacher
