Learn the required technical skills along the way. Think and solve for the customer as a customer. The solution that solves customer needs will succeed not just the tech path. Technical skills without customer focus will end up mastering technology without solving customer problems. Average technical skills and good customer focus can get the required revenue to hire or upgrade the product in due course. Business needs technology it's not the other way.
